How to compose a sample judgement
[ ] 20.09.2008, 16:16

Sample judgement is your personal opinion on the case.

First, compare the memoramda of both parties (if already available) paying special attention to the requests for relief.

List the issues in question. It will look like numbered statements or questions (what we call "agenda" at the session). Write your judgement on each point as if you already were an ICJ judge.

We expect it to be at least two-paged. Still, attention is given to fullness and logic of your work rather tnan to its size (the only exception may be the Grants Competition special length requirements).

It shall be noted that you are in no way bound by your sample judgement later at the session.
